The undersigned have founded 'MİTAŞ International Forwarding Shipping Agency and Commerce Ltd.' in 1985.
After being created , MİTAŞ got the representation of messr DELMAS France in all Turkey.
Delmas was sold to CMA-CGM, further the insistence of Delmas, CMA-CGM agreed to keep us as agents in Mersin and İskenderun under the name of LMB Int.Transport where MİTAŞ had 50 percent share until January 2015 when they opened their own joint venture office.
In 1987 , MİTAŞ got the representation of CONTU service Rotterdam. Contu service was a line carrying cargoes destined to IRAQ and local Turkey.
In 1987 BULCON Line tried us in Mersin and together we became one of the main leaders of the market with weekly sailings to the North Continent, Med and also Eastmed.
Also they opened their own offices in all Turkey , they left Mersin under our agency until the last days they operated. When they stopped we completed our relation remaining always as friends.
During the same years MİTAŞ has been nominated agents of Messr Jadraplov Split thanks to an idea of making their vessels serving Australian ports directly from Adriatic call Mersin to load a suitable cargo.
In 1995, U.A.S.C. was looking for an agent in Mersin and they visited our company among many others, they chose us. With them , we both grew very much in Turkey.
Same year, in 1995, Sermar Line of Italy also appointed us as agents and we had a very good cooperation with them until the last day they operated.
We worked with CHINA SHIPPING and COSCO , as agent , for many successful years, untill they opened their own office.
Today , CANTAŞ is the agent of a regular RO-RO Line to Haifa from Mersin.
We had/are having cooperations with many other lines. Lately EIMSKIP Iceland in all Turkish ports, also in Georgia as CANTAŞ.
Our group has a general cargo department and are the charterer agents of important firms.Also we do military ships agency and provider of some countries like Brazil, Bangladesh, Indonesia.
We are acting as subagents to some local lines like BROINTERMED LINE.
With the years, we have acquired our own equipments, like toplifters, forklifts and trucks, and formed our own depot of 20.000 square meters.
MİTAŞ & CANTAŞ GROUP therefore always is looking to represent and cooperate with serious firms with whom we can serve all Turkish ports. Grow together like we did with all our previous partners.
